Ganji Mosque

The architectural specifications of Ganji mosque located in Sarbisheh are the entrance to the yard and the columned nave. Inside the mosque there are six fixed tetragonal columns bearing the heavy chalk arches. In these spaces, there are six openings, which lighten the inner parts of the mosque. Nave roofing consists of six rows of domes and a tetragonal between the groins. Each row consists of four-domed roofing. The mosque has constructed at the time of Qajars registered under No. 3967 to the name of National Historical places

Harivand Graveyard

A graveyard renown as Gabrha (Zoroastrian) is located in Harivand and in the slope of a hill adjacent to a green valley. Here the graves are reverted with stone clearly recognizable. The potteries are vastly scattered. The evidences show that the space is dating back to the first Millennium B. C. but some of the potteries are from the Islamic Era to the time of Safavides. This graveyard because of its nearness to the farms in Harivand has undergone much destruction. The graveyard has registered under No. 5137 to the name of National Historical places

 

Mood Garden and Fortress

The Mood fortress and garden is located in Mood a village 40 Km. East of Birjand. It has some specified architecture and regarding the big thick fences, it was a defensive fortress. This Fortress has 20 watchtowers, a fence and a moat dug all around it. The entrance to the fortress is in the North frontier between the two towers with two small guardrooms. Those remained inside the fortress are included an Edifice having some verandas, octagonal, corridors and many rooms and a central yard. Some of the ornamentals are the artistic paintings on the stuccos of one of the verandas as well as the plants and bird designs. During the times, the fortress had two different usages. The main parts including the fence, towers, entrances and the old Edifice dates back to the time of Zands but the second Edifice with the veranda, saloon and some rooms are from the time of Qajars. Mood Edifice and Garden has registered under No. 3462 in the name of National Historical places

 

Chahkandook Fortress

This building is located on a riverside on a hill adjacent to the Chahkandook village (65 km. southeast of Birjand). The fort, which is solid, now is a tetragonal construction with four round towers in the corners. It is in two stories made by stone, clay, adobe and chalk. The ground story has six rooms, two corridors, and a central yard. The upper story has destructed due to the natural and manmade factors. The fort has two entrances in the north and south frontiers opposite to each other. These entrances have linked to a central yard via a corridor. The corridor and the rooms roofing are vaulted and quadrangle respectively. The roofing of the tower stories are skull caped. It has no special ornamentals and was a shelter for the residents at the time of the invasions. The fort has constructed at the time of Qajars and has no private or governmental ownership. It has registered under No. 3979 to the name of National historical places
